Refunds & Deferrals


The Ventura Marathon does not offer refunds (industry standard) however we partnered with Allianz Global Assistance (AGA) to offer refund insurance for participants. This must be selected while registering and is handled entirely by AGA.
If you purchase the race insurance you will receive an email from AGA to pay and with details on your coverage.

If you have purchased event registration insurance for an event and have a question or claim, please contact Allianz Global Assistance.

Deferrals are not permitted. If you would like to transfer your entry to a new participant, please click HERE. We do not charge for participant to participant transfers. 

Event Cancellation

Ventura Marathon reserves the right to cancel any race due to weather, air quality or other natural factors outside of our control. We have never had to do this. In the event of a cancellation, participants will be notified via email, text and social media. A date and location will be communicated for participants to pick up their race bags, medals and t-shirts.
